You Can Hear the Whistle, You Can Hear the Bell

This is a sketch I did a while ago and just never did anything with. It's of a man I saw on the Red Line. Kim and I agreed that I had to draw him. He's probably the coolest guy to ever ride the train.
Hey, on Thursday I'll be at Wizard World in Chicago selling prints alongside my talented pals, Jake Martin and Juan Martinez.(Their links are on the right.) So come on buy...Freudian slip. See you there.

  1. Haha, nice caricature!I love how big his eyes appear through the magnification of his lenses. You did a great job creating the allusion that his glasses are a high prescription.

Will you be selling on Saturday at Wizard World as well? I hope I see you guys there!

  3. He is awesome. Dare I ask which stop he got off at? Does it start with a J?

  4. He didn't come from Jarvis. Only ghosts do. We were traveling south, and I fell asleep as I often do. I looked up and there he was. I imagine he was going to the south side because I got off at Jackson and he stayed. I have recently gone to a coffee shop on Jarvis... There was no one there..

  5. Jakey I love this so much. It is dead on....for such a horrible memory, you did a great job remembering his face. I only wish people could read what his awesome name tag said!
