Old Miller

There was no time to work on this, but I've come to a stopping point. I want to push it further (toward my original intentions) in the future. This oil painting has a train ride in the morning. By the way this is an illustration for a traditional folk song called "Two Sisters". This is the moment where the old miller is bribed to push the drowned sister back in the water. Very dark song.

  1. Looking really good man. I really enjoy the color choices, nice contrast between warm air and cool water and the expression on the guys face is impacting.

  2. Awesome painting! For some reason, it reminds me of "Watson and the Shark" by John Singleton Copley.
